Fruit slots are known for being quite simple but plenty of fun, despite lacking certain, few features. But although it may not look like it at first glance, Stakelogic has actually managed to jam in quite a few mechanics here. Although we have to admit that they’re not all a hit.
The provider brings its Super Stake feature which increases the number of scatters that land for the price of 2x your stake and that works well enough. But the main issues we have are surrounding the Super Joker Mode.
The Super Joker Mode is a gamble feature that activates automatically after a Super Win and could potentially drain your winnings in no time at all. We learnt this the hard way, when playing the game using auto-play and realising that we had to turn off auto-play in order to cancel the gamble feature. It’s not very user-friendly and can very well drain your winnings before you even realise what’s going on. But more on our experience with Super Joker Megways’ features below.
Cascades – The classic Megaways mechanic allows for winning symbols to be removed from the reels and new symbols to cascade from above to fill their empty spots. It works really well in a three-reel structure, and we appreciated the consecutive wins whenever they landed in such a highly volatile environment.
Scatters – The joker himself sits as the slot’s scatter symbol. You need three of these tokens to activate the Super Win feature and during the follow-up gamble feature, a minimum of two scatters are needed to potentially boost your winnings further. The scatter drop rate can be increased if you activate the Super Stake mechanic, which also doubles your stake.
Super Win feature – The slot’s bonus mode activates a random win which could be as high as 600x your selected bet. And if you trigger the bonus mode with four or more scatters, then you get a guaranteed 600x win. We landed the Super Win a few times and even got a ₹1,000 win in the process.
Super Joker Mode – The Super Joker Mode is a gamble feature that follows a Super Win. It activates automatically and gambles away your win in the hopes of landing a minimum of two scatter symbols. Whenever this happens, you activate yet another Super Win, which can award prizes from 2x to 600x your stake. The feature ends when your original prize goes below your 2x stake or over 200x. We already mentioned how we didn’t like the implementation of Super Joker Mode and would have much rather been given the option to opt in rather than being automatically pushed into a gamble feature. Things started off well when it followed our first Super Win, but it quickly took a turn for the worse and almost drained all our winnings before we finally switched it off.
We have mixed emotions about Super Joker Megaways. While we enjoyed the Megaways implementation in a fruit slot setting, we’re not too keen on the way the Super Joker Mode gamble feature works.
And with a maximum win of 2,592x, this really isn’t a slot we’d recommend for players who are hoping to land big wins.
