Poker variations can be found all over the net, with some hitting the mark, while others fail to make a good impression. Felt Gaming’s High Card Flush does everything in its power to join the first group, with a friendly interface, two bonus bets and a particularly high maximum payout of 8,000x your stake.
Our High Card Flush review will tell you all about our experience of playing the game and whether or not this alternative take on the poker formula, manages to make a lasting impression.

The feature list that Felt Gaming has come up with for High Card Flush is exactly what we like to see. It’s simple, direct and brimming with high payout potential. The game even takes the time to walk new players through all the paces with a guided tutorial that introduces you to all the features and functions on offer.
Ante – This is your initial bet. You always need to set an ante bet to play, and once you hit the deal button, you’re dealt your 7-card hand. The more cards you have of the same suit, the better. You can either pick your flush cards or have the game automatically pick the best out of your hand for you. The automatic function worked well and always picked the best out of the lot, so we were happy to play with it. You will then need to raise accordingly to move on to the next phase. For hands of 2, 3 or 4 flush cards, you can raise by 1x. Hands with 5 flush cards can raise by 2x and hands with 6 or 7 flush cards can raise by 3x. After raising, the dealer reveals their hand and the hand with the best set of flush cards wins.
Flush Bet – This is the first of High Card Flush’s special bets. It’s placed at the beginning of each round, and you get to know the outcome as soon as your hand is revealed. A hand of 4, 5, 6 or 7 flush cards will pay out 1x, 10x, 100x or 300x, respectively. It’s the easiest of the two special bets to hit and we opted in on every single round we played. Our best hand came with 6 flush cards, and the 100x boost helped us get our biggest win at ₹885,000.
Straight Flush Bet – This is a much riskier bonus bet. The straight flush bet needs you to have sequential flush cards. The rewards here are significantly higher, but so is the risk of actually winning. 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 straight flush cards award you with 7x, 60x, 100x, 1,000x or 8,000x your stake respectively. We only ever hit the 3 straight flush card bonus which formed part of our big ₹885,000 win. The flush bet turned out to be more profitable in the long run, but if you’re feeling particularly lucky, you should still give the straight flush bet a go.
Apart from having an impressive maximum win of 8,000x, High Card Flush is an accessible, easy-to-play poker variation with clear features to follow. It looks great, plays well, and has the potential to give you some massive wins with its two bonus bets.
We’d recommend this to both new players and veteran table game enthusiasts alike, as it manages to hit the mark on all sides.
Scientific Games’ DJ Wild Stud Poker is a different take on the poker formula, with multi-hand play, wild cards and a trip bonus bet that can potentially pay up to 2,000x your stake. Although it has a lower maximum payout, we still had a blast playing and even walked away with a high win of ₹100,000.
NetEnt’s Jacks or Better Double Up sticks to a more traditional setup. You’re handed your two cards, before the community cards get revealed one by one, offering you the chance to raise or fold accordingly. Your winnings can be boosted further through the gamble feature, which allows you to effectively double all of your wins.
