Multiplier Wilds – These wild symbols always land with a 2x multiplier. So, apart from stepping in for any missing pay symbols to form a win, they deliver an additional 2x boost. Of course, you could always land two or three multiplier wilds in one payline, taking advantage of a 4x or 8x multiplier, respectively. The multipliers boosted a lot of consistent wins here, especially when paired with the Nudge feature.
Nudge Feature – Whenever you land a winning combination, the Nudge feature checks if any matching symbols are sitting directly above the winning symbol on reel one. It nudges the matching symbols down one position and awards yet another win, repeating the process until there are no more matching symbols left. It then applies the same mechanic across the second and third reels. This was by far the most exciting feature in the base game. It seriously extended our streak whenever we landed a winning combo and was incredibly effective whenever it combined with stacks of wild multiplier symbols.
Reset Symbol Stack – Triggering randomly at the end of a nudge feature, the Rest Symbol Stack may show an ‘up’ arrow on any reel, resetting your symbol stack back to the original setup that started it all. So, you’re awarded all of the nudge chain wins once again. We managed to hit this a couple of times in our playthrough, and it ended up delivering the biggest wins we got in the game outside of the jackpot prizes.
Progressive Jackpots – You can trigger three progressive jackpots by landing their symbols on the payline. The Mini, Midi and Mega pots seed at 40x, 200x and 10,000x respectively and continue to grow as local progressive jackpots. Sadly, we never managed to trigger any of these and while they do offer quite a bit of win potential, they’re nowhere near as lucrative as progressive jackpots that are shared across multiple casinos.
Single payline slots are quite the video slot niche, but NetEnt manages to make Grand Spinn Superpot stand out with fantastic visuals and a handful of nifty mechanics like the Nudge feature. There’s also plenty of win potential to be had here through the progressive jackpots, although the base game only has a maximum win cap of 2,000x.
Ultimately, we recommend Grand Spinn Superpot for fans who want a shot at progressive jackpot glory. There’s something here for high rollers to enjoy too, but you’re better off placing your bets on a bigger, shared progressive jackpot slot.
Microgaming’s Diamond Empire has a lot in common with the Grand Spinn Superpot slot. You can win much bigger rewards from the base game thanks to a maximum win cap of 10,000x and you get a similar RTP at 96.04%. But Diamond Empire has no jackpot prizes on offer and you’ll mostly be looking towards multiplier wins that can reach a maximum of 888x to win big.
NetEnt’s Imperial Riches doesn’t follow the same theme and single payline but offers a similar set of rewards through localised progressive jackpots and a maximum base game win of 1,500x. RTP is higher here at 96.88% and you’ll be making more frequent wins thanks to the slot’s 15 paylines.
