mPlay is renowned for producing traditional Indian online casino games, with a particular focus on Teen Patti and Andar Bahar. With Teen Patti Champion, the provider adds plenty of useful functionality, including the option to place side bets, re-bet, double re-bet, and double bets.
The visual presentation is simple but pleasant enough and you can place bets from a low of ₹80 to a maximum of ₹4,000. Volatility is clocked at a medium setting and RTP sits at 94.89%, which is standard for a table game like Teen Patti. And although this isn’t a high roller’s paradise, you could still walk away with wins of up to a maximum of ₹20,000,000.
Have a look at our review of Teen Patti Champion, where we give you a rundown of all the features and give you an insight into our own experience of playing the game.
Teen Patti Champion
Minimum / Maximum Bet:
Side Bets, Re-Bet, Double Re-Bet, Double Bet
Teen Patti Champion doesn’t veer too far away from the traditional Teen Patti gameplay. But mPlay has done a great job of including plenty of useful functions. They’re all presented very clearly through the game’s simple and friendly UI, so even beginners will be able to pick up the game in no time at all.
We do wish mPlay would have included an autoplay feature to make gameplay even smoother, adding even more value to this great set of functions.
Side Bets – Apart from placing your main bet, you can also add side bets on both the dealer’s and player’s hands. You’ll need to guess the exact hand here and bet on having a Pair, Flush, Straight, Three of a Kind or Straight Flush, which come with odds of 5.65:1, 18.5:1, 30:1, 405:1 and 440:1, respectively. Side bets can be really rewarding, although the chances of landing any one of them are pretty slim. We did manage a couple of lucky bets, which gave us a pretty high win of ₹750,000.
Double Bet – You can double the value of your wagers across both main and side bets simply by clicking on the bet you previously set. Of course, if you need to place a completely different wager, then you must use the clear function first before placing a new bet.
Re-Bet – Instead of going through the tedious process of moving chips around the table on every round, you simply hit the re-bet button to repeat the previous round’s wager. It’s a time-saving function that makes gameplay a lot easier (especially if you’re using strategies that follow one hand in particular). We ended up using this a lot during our playthrough but would have ultimately preferred having an autopay feature.
Double Re-Bet – You can even double all of the previous round’s bets and side bets by simply clicking on the Double Re-Bet button. Keep in mind that the maximum bet level is ₹4,000 across both the main bet and side bets, so you won’t be able to use this function if the total bet goes over the maximum cap.
Teen Patti Champion is the perfect game for beginners and intermediate players. It has an incredibly easy interface to follow, plenty of useful functions and a fantastic maximum win of ₹20,000,000.
On the other hand, the feature list feels somewhat incomplete without an autoplay function which would have made longer sessions a lot easier to get through. And although Teen Patti Champion’s maximum win isn’t insignificant, it’s still a bit too low for those who are used to winning larger sums.
Evolution Gaming’s Teen Patti Live adds a more social element to the game, with a live dealer and additional players in other seats around the table. Features remain largely the same with the option to place two side bets alongside your main wager. It also comes with an increased RTP of 96.63%, and a much more impressive maximum win of ₹900,000,000.
If you’re hoping for another Indian casino classic with high potential then you’ll want to have a look at Evolution Gaming’s Super Andar Bahar. The gameplay here is quite different to Teen Patti Champion, but you also get better figures with an RTP of 97.85% and maximum wins of up to ₹3,600,000,000.
